Anna Towers, MD is Director, Lymphedema Program, Supportive and Palliative Care Services, McGill University Health Centre, and Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology, McGill University, Montreal.

Dr. Towers has been instrumental in the founding of LAQ and is closely involved with its development. She has acted as an educator and advisor to the Association, as well as being an outspoken advocate for the lymphedema cause.

Dr. Towers is actively involved in programs organized by LAQ. She continues to provide support for our efforts in negotiating with the Health Ministry to provide services for lymphedema prevention and treatment. Dr. Towers is coordinator of the McGill Lymphedema Research Program (www.mcgill.ca/lymphedema-research). Current research studies are investigating the incidence and risk factors for developing lymphedema, and the effectiveness of treatments. Dr. Towers is promoting the development of lymphedema programs in Canada through the Canadian Lymphedema Framework and is involved in international projects.

Dr. Towers is an honorary, life-time member of the LAQ.

Jean Lette, MD is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear medicine, and practices as a nuclear medicine specialist at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Montreal, QC, Canada. He is interested in developing innovative devices and techniques to treat lymphedema and facilitate the everyday life of patients with lymphedema.
